2nd trip - Valentine's Weekend

It was Valentine's weekend and also the second winter break for my kids from school. It was the perfect opportunity for us to go skiing again. The hotel we stayed at last time was so convienent, had excellent service and was kid-friendly, so we went back. It has a goldmine where the kids can hunt for gold, a bear cage where the kids can see what it's like for bears in hibernation (fake bear, though), and a jack rabbit run where the kids can race through the trees. They definitely love all of those activities.

We love skiing at Beaver Creek, Colorado. It's about 20 minutes from Vail. We may visit a different ski spot later on, but for now, Beaver Creek is our place. It's our tradition to go skiing twice a year and stay at the same hotel and ski at the same mountain.

Beaver Creek Mountain features a long ski season, lasting from November until April. The natural beauty of Beaver Creek and the nearby villages of Arrowhead and Bachelor Gulch provide many leisure options no matter what the season or weather. In the summer they have hot air balloon rides, horseback riding, bike trails, a challenging golf course, and mountain camping for the older kids. Hopefully we'll have a chance to go for summer vacation some day when my kids are old enough.
